KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

The individual is responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of the food production area in Casserole Assembly with following work scope -

  • Oversee the operations in Casserole Assembly for the dishing of Business and Economy Class main courses
  • Be able to interpret menu specifications, estimate semi-finished goods requirements, plan dishing schedule and assign task to staff to ensure timely completion of dishing;
  • Be able to plan, make decisions, and produce meals according to client requests;
  • Follow specifications in the dishing of meals as directed to the quality expected by customers, complying to food safety and hygiene regulations;
  • To ensure that dishing for all areas is done according to load requirements, monitor inventory, follow proper stock control and rotation (adhere to FIFO);
  • Plan and manage Labor Cost to achieve profitability / justification with productivity output
  • Planning of rosters and deployment of staff;
  • Conduct training of new staff on dishing procedures;
  • Assisting and directing Casserole Assembly employees and service crews in meal preparation, creation, plating and delivery; while meeting requirements
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Monitor the performance of machines/equipment and report any malfunction;
  • Conduct investigations on any discrepancies;
  • Builds strong working relationships and communications with employees, HOD's and other departments to ensure maximum operating effectiveness and fulfilment of clients' requirement
  • Rectify arising problems or complaints, and audit queries
  • Establish and ensure full compliance to operating controls, SOP's, policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Preparing meals and completing prep support as needed

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Formal qualifications as a chef with minimum 5 years of relevant work experiences
  • Experience and knowledge of multiple cuisines
  • Management experience in food manufacturing will have an added advantage
  • Good Business acumen with strong drive for results.
  • Prior experiences in menu creation and budgeting
  • Strong management skill and ability to manage a team towards the accomplishment of goals
  • Comfortable to provide coaching, advice and assistance when required
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Experience in working with a multicultural team
  • Be able to use the computer for emails, MS Office and systems related to work;
  • Comfortable to work rotating shifts and weekends/public holidays when necessary
