What the role entails:

  • Oversee the care of animals (dogs and cats) at the Centre, including supervising contractors responsible for feeding, medication, grooming, showering, and exercise.
  • Develop and uphold behavior modification and enrichment protocols for the animals, ensuring the implementation of these programs to enhance their well-being and facilitate successful rehoming.
  • Facilitate the rehoming process of animals by interacting with potential adopters and conducting educational visits at the Centre.
  • Participate in reviewing and engaging stakeholders for animal welfare initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Veterinary Technology / Veterinary Bioscience / Biological Sciences / Psychology or Nitec/Higher Nitec in Applied & Health Sciences courses with 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Passionate about caring for animals.
  • Positive attitude, proactive, energetic, physically fit, enjoys outdoor activities.
  • Self-reliant and capable of collaborating effectively in a team setting.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays based on a schedule.
  • Driven to acquire new skills and knowledge in animal care and rehabilitation. Previous experience in handling animals (dogs and cats) is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, social media, and video editing.

The office is located at: Animal and Plant Health Centre, 6 Perahu Road, Singapore 718827.
