DESIGNATION :
Senior/Editor (CNA Insider)

RESPONSIBILITIES


We're looking for an experienced, versatile and visionary storyteller, to help strategise stories across multiple platforms that include television, digital and social media.

The role involves pitching and shaping commissioned content, to conceptualising how to give CNA Insider's award-winning long-form features a life on social platforms.

In an ever-changing content landscape, we're seeking someone who is keen and innovative in finding effective ways to reach and engage different audiences.


Responsibilities:

  • You will help manage a team of producers and conceptualise story ideas, assign and shape stories, and oversee their production.
  • You will seek opportunities to engage with external stakeholders/clients and pitch editorial collaborations with CNA Insider.
  • You will help strategise ways to expand the reach of CNA Insider's content on digital and social media, including tapping audience analytics to do so.
  • You may also manage a pool of freelancers on a project basis.
  • You will be expected to uphold the high editorial standards of CNA Insider.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in news & current affairs / editorial video production.
  • Well informed about issues of the day. Editorial acumen in identifying potential stories and angles.
  • Aptitude in collaborating with external stakeholders/clients, including crafting proposals and getting buyin.
  • A keen sense of what makes for effective storytelling formats, on television, digital and social platforms like Instagram/TikTok. Keeps tabs on the latest audience/consumption trends and what's resonating with audiences.
  • Good at managing, guiding and motivating a diverse team of people, and prepared to coach.
  • Meticulous about accuracy, with an excellent command of English.
  • Creative and open to exploring new approaches to improve outcomes and processes.
