How You'll Make an Impact
  • Understand the customer needs and market trends and provide the industry feedback to the research community
  • Actively scout for new technologies, applicable to various industrial applications, with academic and research institutions
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the grant eco-system (mapping and analyzing grant schemes) and R&D activities with key stakeholders across Asia Pacific
  • Influence the research communities (academic and research institutions) to actively work on industry priorities
  • Identify and manage suitable grants in Asia Pacific that can lead to successful product development
  • Communicate progress of various programs within the organization, identifying potential areas of concern and support
What You Bring
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience required for progressively responsible experience in engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Prior experience in R&D program/grant program/product management
  • Ability to work in a matrix and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
  • Experience working in a cross-division business unit model.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time, including internationally.
