MSAT Manufacturing Support Engineer at GSK Singapore

The Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) Manufacturing Support team is an agile and responsive group contributing to the MSAT department mission by driving commercial manufacturing process improvements and providing technical expertise in various disciplines. They provide vital support to enable Value Streams to achieve their objectives optimally while complying with cGMP requirements.

The MSAT Manufacturing Support Engineer is accountable for validating and qualifying the systems used in product development and manufacturing at a facility. They ensure systems run according to specifications, operate within regulations for data integrity, and produce quality products. The Engineer implements, executes, and supports validation strategies at the GSK Tuas Site, ensuring alignment with local regulations and GSK standards, as well as managing validation activities and maintaining process equipment and critical systems.

The role involves direct interaction with other teams for knowledge sharing and support with operational projects. It includes responsibilities in Manufacturing Operations, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Audit Preparation, Validations, and Environment, Health, Safety, and Wellness.

  • Manage technical deviations and CAPAs
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues
  • Subject Matter Expert on technical equipment
  • Perform Gap analysis and QMS follow-up
  • Lead root cause analysis sessions
  • Implement change controls and process optimizations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements
  • Participate in project management for process optimization and new equipment introduction
  • Support Validation processes and execute validation studies
  • Contribute to safety and wellness initiatives
  • Hold a BS or higher degree in Engineering or related field
  • 4-5 years' experience in Engineering or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Experience in purification systems advantageous
  • Familiarity with global regulations and validation requirements
  • Skills in equipment troubleshooting and process optimization
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
