About the department

The Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) Singapore is a newly established team and is part of a global department called the Business Innovation Garage (BIG), based in our HQ in Denmark, with Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) in Brazil, UK, Israel, Germany, Bangalore, Shanghai, and the US.

The BIG unit is a rapidly expanding division focused on four primary domains:
(1) Creation of an innovation lab that will allow communities to come together to innovate, build a passionate culture, and establish space for experimentation supporting initiatives that challenge the status quo and leverage new technologies. (2) Support the organization in the definition of the digital strategy and its implementation across the organization. (3) Explore the limits of technology and its impact on cardiometabolic patients to untap the next big digital disruptor in healthcare. (4) Accelerate the digital transformation of NN by supporting the organization in boosting partnerships with start-ups in digital healthcare.- DIH Singapore has a strong anchoring in the APAC organization and ecosystem, and is a joint effort of Global Digital, Data & IT (DDIT) and International Operations (IO). This role directly reports to the DIH Lead in Singapore, and you will be a part of the larger BIG team, which includes the above-mentioned HQ department based in Denmark, as well as 7 DIHs located around the world.- Novo Nordisk Singapore has been consistently recognized as the employer of choice in Singapore for 3 consecutive years - Best Places to Work for 2021, 2022 and 2023.
The position

As a DIH Consultant, you will lead and drive cross-functional initiatives that leverage emerging technology, facilitate specific ideation processes both internally and externally, convincingly, and clearly communicate to stakeholders across the business, and act as a trusted advisor with a strong knowledge of business challenges and constraints.

We are looking for flexibility and creativity to link internal business priorities with external opportunities and evaluate start-ups, model business opportunities, and build investment cases in the digital space.


Your tasks will include:

  • Collaborate with the business units to identify their business priorities and needs.
  • Coordinate, follow up and monitor internal business units and startups to ensure successful collaboration. Support with communication and content curation for internal/external stakeholders by periodically updating the trends and insights from the ecosystem.
  • Build and participate in DIH Singapore ecosystem engagement and network of the Digital Innovation Hubs (accelerators, incubators, academia, VCs, communities).
  • Attend and represent the DIH Singapore in relevant events and conferences. Organize meetups and events to attract startups and ecosystem players. Become a trusted advisor for internal stakeholders on digital innovation in healthcare and unlock new business model opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in IT and/or Business, Innovation, or Strategy.
  • At least 57 years of experience working in venture capital, consulting, and/or product management in a corporate. Experience and passion for startup investments from a digital perspective and/or knowledge of working with or in startups and digital healthcare will be a plus.
  • Able to tailor messages to relevant stakeholders from various levels of authority and experience internally selling concepts and initiatives that challenge the status quo.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and business acumen is needed to navigate the landscape of startups and translate uncertainties into tangible opportunities for Novo Nordisk.
  • With an innovation track record working on, or driving, disruptive projects from idea to launch and has the eagerness to be a part of building something new and challenge traditional methodologies.
