**Job Description: - Provide high-quality verbatim transcription for live captions for events

  • Able to respond quickly and appropriately in the event of nonEnglish phrases
  • Liaise with clients on event needs, logistics, setting up of system and troubleshooting if required
  • Conduct editing remotely or onsite at the event based on the client's request
  • Do preevent preparation and research to enhance accuracy of the live captions
  • Clean up and deliver postevent transcript based on client's request
  • Improve the live captioning workflow and process for better quality and turnaround time
  • Support the team in transcription and subtitling projects

Job Requirements:

  • Possess at least one year of stenography experience
  • Expert shorthand speed of at least 180 words per minute
  • Possess own machine for stenography
  • Strong reading comprehension be able to understand the speaker's words quickly and accurately; ability to understand the Singaporean context and accent will be a plus
  • Meticulous and carry out necessary research/checks to ensure the correct use of words before the event
  • Good team player, proactive, communicates and works well with the rest of the team and clients to get accurate work delivered on time
  • Resourceful and selfmotivated to learn and grow
  • Able to learn new software tools quickly and devise actions for improvement
