Your Role at Intuitive:

  • A storyteller at heart, you will be assembling, editing and crafting corporate, commercial, interviewled, narrativedriven, trainingfocused and seriesbased videos, mostly shortform, so as to communicate the desired messaging and storyline clearly, creatively and with finesse.
  • Delivering topquality creative work and executing an efficient postproduction process through the project life cycle.
  • Providing clear and timely communication within and across departments, so as to ensure the effective running and completion of projects.
  • Working with external video editors, designers, animators, colourists and audio professionals who are supporting inhouse edit work.
  • Implementing and improving postproduction workflows, so as to drive the effectiveness and quality of edits.
  • Maintaining and scheduling detailed and uptodate archives, with periodic housekeeping.
  • Contributing to ideation during pitch and preproduction, plus providing technical and creative input when necessary during filming.
  • Contributing to the development, improvement and execution of systems and best practices.

Who we are looking for:

  • Proven expertise with more than 5 years of professional experience as a Video Editor and a solid professional portfolio consisting of corporate and commercial work for diverse clients that demonstrate your versatility, creativity and storytelling instinct.
  • A flexible mind that allows you to zoom in (to details of fine cutting, choice of frame, accurate spelling, placement of graphics etc) and zoom out (to overall storytelling, pacing, rhythm, themes, project timelines and more).
  • Excellent attention to detail. (We. Cannot. Emphasize. This. Enough.)
  • Clear and effective communication skills in English that allow for seamless collaboration and storytelling. Proficiency in another local language is an asset.
  • Experience in editing projects with government, agency and large company clients.
  • Technically savvy with mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, in particularl Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro X is a bonus.
  • Independent, resourceful, organized and uptodate when it comes to technical troubleshooting, contributing to workflow improvements, making software/plugin recommendations, postproduction scheduling, as well as creative editing with an aesthetic flair.
  • Loves (everything about) editing.
  • Colour grading abilities, a proven track record in working with plugins effectively and demonstrated skills in 2D Motion Graphics using AfterEffects are also favourable competencies.
