Job Brief

We're on the hunt for a Cost Analyst to be part of our Global Outsourced procurement crew, focusing on every cost-related aspect of Tier 1 Supplier management. You'll tackle bid pack management, claim handling, and billing overseeing. Additionally, you'll be the go-to person guiding junior commercial analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Thorough cost analysis for assigned tier 1 suppliers, including manufacturing, logistics, labor, molding, and painting to spot improvement areas and cost-saving chances.
  • Handling RFQ activities with tier 1 suppliers in the early product stages and managing costs throughout development.
  • Ensuring billing accuracy of tier 1 suppliers based on agreed structures post-production.
  • Tracking and reporting on supplier claims.
  • Implementing cost control measures aligning with budget constraints and financial goals.
  • Monitoring and assessing cost performance against benchmarks for tier 1 suppliers, reporting to senior management.
  • Supporting data governance and storage for timely, accurate, and validated information.

Financial Planning and Budgeting:

  • Aiding in annual budget development aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Conducting financial forecasts and models for strategic decision support.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partnering with commercial managers on tasks with Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Assisting in bid pack preparation, cost analyses, and comparisons.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders for data analysis and accurate cost billing/reporting.
  • Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders for effective cost management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in cost analysis or financial planning roles, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and cost management.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial management principles.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for conveying financial concepts to non-financial individuals.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
