About the Team

The AML team is focused on advancing machine learning algorithms and platforms for recommendation systems, ads ranking, and search ranking. They drive significant impact for the core business while promoting innovation. A Software Engineer - Machine Learning Infrastructure is sought to bolster and propel this mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a global-scale machine learning system for feeds, ads, and search ranking models.
  • Enhance the usability and flexibility of the machine learning infrastructure.
  • Improve the workflow of model training, serving, data pipelines, and resource management for multi-tenancy machine learning systems.
  • Develop essential components of ML infrastructure and provide guidance to interns.
  • Contribute to the production of scalable and optimized AI/machine learning models.
  • Focus on crafting algorithms for handling large volumes of real-time, unstructured data to deploy AI/ML solutions.
  • Conduct experiments to evaluate the deployed models' performance and troubleshoot any arising issues.
  • Collaborate within a team setting, leveraging expertise in statistics, scripting, and required programming languages.
  • Utilize relevant software platforms for model deployment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields from established institutions.
  • Proficiency in C/C++/Python with robust programming skills.
  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow/Pytorch.
  • Experience in developing and deploying large-scale systems.
  • Capable of independent work, completing projects thoroughly and promptly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for conveying technical concepts effectively.
  • Background in enhancing core machine learning infrastructure.
  • Over 3 years of industry experience with a strong foundation in machine learning theory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engagement with open-source machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch.
  • Background in big data frameworks such as Spark/Hadoop/Flink, including resource management and task scheduling in large distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of areas like Hardware-Software Co-Design, High-Performance Computing, ML Hardware Acceleration (e.g., GPU/TPU/RDMA), or ML for Systems.
