Job Description: Quality Representative - FPSO Conversion Project

Job Summary:
The Quality Representative for an FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) conversion project at a shipyard ensures that all conversion activities meet quality standards and follow regulations. This role involves overseeing quality control processes, inspections, audits, and collaborating with project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System (QMS):
    • Implement and maintain project-specific QMS.
    • Ensure compliance with QMS.
  • Inspections and Audits:
    • Conduct inspections and audits of shipyard activities.
    • Identify non-conformances and resolve them.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare quality documentation and reports.
    • Generate quality performance reports.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure compliance with international standards.
    • Stay updated on industry standards.
  • Coordination and Communication:
    • Liaise with personnel, contractors, and clients for clear communication.
    • Provide guidance on quality procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Promote a culture of improvement.
    • Lead improvement initiatives.
  • Risk Management:
    • Assess and mitigate quality-related risks.
    • Participate in risk assessments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Certification in Quality Management preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience.
  • Experience in oil & gas or maritime industry.
  • Knowledge of quality management principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and codes.
  • Proficiency in auditing and inspection techniques.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

The role is based in a dynamic shipyard environment.
