Job Description

* The level of this role may differ based on the selected individual's profile.

Based in CDPQ's Singapore branch and reporting to the Senior Director of Private Equity, the chosen candidate will help the International Private Equity team in achieving deployment and portfolio management goals. They will assist in enhancing returns, collaborating on transactions, and closely monitoring portfolio companies for value creation.

Main responsibilities
  • Participate in deal selection and aid in preparing initial analyses and documents for investment recommendations within set deadlines
  • Assist senior team members in conducting thorough financial modeling
  • Contribute to generating internal reports and maintaining their accuracy
  • Thoroughly assess target companies' financial reports, establish comparable entities, and conduct detailed analyses
  • Support senior team members in arranging meetings and discussions with current and potential partners
  • Routinely conduct comprehensive research on industry trends, actively monitor news, and gather information from relevant sources
  • Create effective search and monitoring tools
  • Produce industry studies/market analyses to contribute to team's business expansion
  • Take part in developing work processes and updating necessary information
  • Add value to portfolio management by supporting senior team members
Requirements
  • Singapore citizen or PR status preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years' finance/investment experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting from a top-tier institution
  • Master's degree in finance and/or CFA designation would be advantageous
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Proficiency in finance-related software (Excel, Capital IQ, ThomsonOne, Bloomberg, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the Indian and/or Japanese market dynamics is a significant advantage
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is a requirement
  • Proficiency in Hindi and/or Japanese is advantageous for better interactions with partners and target companies
  • Ability for frequent international travel
