Job Description

OVERVIEW

The role of Newsletter Editor is crucial for driving CNBC International's newsletter strategy forward. As a skilled curator, the Newsletter Editor will collaborate closely with the Digital Managing Editor to enhance existing newsletters, introduce new ones, craft compelling content, and expand our subscriber base.

Collaboration is key in this role, working alongside teams in Singapore and London, as well as social media, strategy, and marketing units. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about newsletters, data-driven in decision-making, and adept at advocating for opportunities within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and optimize a variety of newsletters
  • Curate, write, and edit newsletters daily
  • Collaborate with editors and reporters to transform reporting into newsletter content
  • Expand CNBC International's newsletter audience through data-driven strategies and coordination with social media and marketing teams
  • Monitor newsletter performance and share insights with newsroom leadership regularly
  • Possibility to contribute news and analysis pieces when required
  • Opportunity to serve as a copy editor when needed

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in newsletter curation or editing
  • Proficiency in financial markets, business, geopolitical, and economic news
  • Ability to collaborate across different time zones and countries
  • Capable of managing tight deadlines and thriving in a fast-paced setting
  • Familiarity with digital and social media roles, and experience with analytics tools
  • Previous involvement in journalism or digital marketing within a news context
  • Excellent written English skills
