Roles & ResponsibilitiesJob Accountabilities:
- To ensure construction quality is aligned with the approved Project Quality Plan.
- Monitor day-to-day quality control activities and coordinate effectively with construction team members for necessary quality control tasks.
- Conduct inspections and witness tests on Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecom equipment's fabrication and installation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Participate in quality control and assurance programs, report QA and non-conformances, and assist QC Manager in managing and closing out NCR's.
- Review drawings and project specifications to validate accuracy and feasibility.
- Verify sub-contractors' use of the latest revised drawings and documents through regular checks against the drawing/document register.
- Inspect received materials, equipment, and instruments to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Standardize the site installation of equipment and instruments by creating installation mock-ups as references.
- Supervise and oversee sub-contractor activities to minimize errors.
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify deficiencies in fabricated components, installed items, or systems.
- Document project progress and quality measurements by inspecting and completing Inspection and Test Records (ITRs).
- Ensure safe job execution by providing daily morning toolbox briefings to all project personnel.
- Ensure proper documentation of all site changes in the project's final documentation.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specification requirements.
- Familiar with international codes and standards.
- Knowledgeable about oil & gas project specifications.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and other computer tools.
- Understanding of EEHA standards and Hazardous Area classifications.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Distributed Control System (DCS).
- NTC 3 Electrical Technology or equivalent.
- Trade Certificate in Electrical Equipment Installation or similar.
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics with valid certificates in EEHA Inspection.
- CompEX Certificate is mandatory.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in fabricating and testing Oil & Gas Offshore Structure Projects (Electrical and Instrumentation).
- Good/corrected vision.
- Physically fit for on-site work in modules and offshore environments.
- May involve work beyond regular hours.
- Openness to travel internationally.
- Possibility of offshore deployment.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
