Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising & training FA inspectors including preparation of training materials. Training effectiveness is assessed through tests conducted for each trainee.
- Assist in compiling FA reports and outgoing inspection reports when the FA data girl is unavailable.
- Generate/update inspection WI/Checklist/Reports.
- Raise NCR for FA part related rejection, update NCR masterlist. Collaborate with the respective process owner for CAPA action.
- Communicate and follow-up with customers on FA part quality issues such as CAPA or 8D replies.
- Conduct verification/failure analysis/capability studies and other QA tasks as assigned.
- Conduct 100% inspection on First Article parts and components, take photos of FA parts and submit FAI reports, then follow up. Update FA masterlist.
- Monitor measuring equipment calibration status and arrange for calibration, update equipment calibration masterlist.
- Proficient in GD&T and able to operate CMM measuring equipment.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by the Quality Manager.
Job Requirements
- NTC/ITC in Mechanical Engineering/Diploma in Quality Assurance Engineering or SQI Certified Quality Engineer.
- Ability to interpret all technical drawings with GD&T specifications.
- Able to program with CMM, Smart scope for inspection.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal and structural fabrication environments.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
