_STATEMENT OF PURPOSE_:

  • The Senior Executive/ Executive will be responsible in the administrative, management and coordination of the clinical quality, patient safety, clinical risk, quality improvement programmes, and Healthcare Performance Office (HPO) activities across Yishun Health (YH)._
  • The Senior Executive will take on the supervisory role in guiding the junior Executive in CQPV activities._

_MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES_:

- (A) _SPECIFIC (80%)_
- _Perform the administrative, management and coordination of the YH's patient safety, clinical risk, quality improvement programmes, and HPO activities such as mortality and morbidity review, clinical quality review, focused clinical audits, clinical indicators analysis and reporting, hospital incident reporting, serious reportable events (SRE) and patient safety walkabouts._
- _Identify clinical issues by various means, e.g., case review, incident reporting, clinical quality data analytics, which may require escalation and further investigations and subsequent recommendation development and implementation by working with relevant stakeholders to facilitate quality improvement initiatives in YH._
- _Collect, analyse and monitor the performance for clinical indicators of the hospital, committees, departments, HPO and provide updates to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner. To integrate and provide data analytics for clearer oversight and support clinical decision-making capabilities to improve clinical care._
- _Provide secretariat support to YH Clinical Board and its Quality Assurance subcommittees, SRE committee and HPO Chair within YH. Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to resolve these issues and ensure high standards of clinical practice. Manage the investigations with various departments and reporting of corrective actions and recommendations to Ministry of Health, when required._
- _Manage Patient Safety Collaboration Workgroup such as Speaking up for Safety and Implementing Reliability for Safer Healthcare. Point of contact for the Cognitive Institute._
- _Participate in clinical risk management programmes within YH._
- _Support, coordinate and manage patient safety programmes and workshops, and engagement of the clinical quality initiatives, e.g., Human Factor Workshop for the optimal participation, Clinical Practice Improvement Programme etc across YH and National Healthcare Group to ensure sustainability._
- _Prepare annual Clinical Board paper and presentation related to the Quality Assurance subcommittees, when required._
- _Adopting best practices as well as collaborating with relevant external and internal stakeholders. Inculcate a culture of clinical quality and patient safety, which may include raising staff awareness of quality improvement initiatives._
- _Advance the profile of CQPV in the areas of quality improvement and patient safety across YH._
- (B) _GENERAL (20%)_
- _Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer and Assistant Chairman Medical Board, CQPV._
- _Embrace continuous improvement as our way of life by improving and refining work performance on a daily basis._
