Opportunity
We are looking for an aspiring individual to join our Naval Systems Programme Centre.

The Senior Engineer is responsible for the technical tasks related to the assigned scope in the project.

This includes engineering analysis, assessment of supplier-proposed solutions, making informed recommendations to the Programme Manager and users, participation in field acceptance tests of systems.

The job is mostly office based, but depending on the phase of the project, may require on-site presence at factories, shipyards and naval bases.


The responsibilities include:

  • Technology watch on research developments and market products on assigned technical domains
  • Proposing, reviewing and assessing technical options to address current and future challenges
  • Preparation of tender specifications
  • Evaluation and clarifications with suppliers
  • Leading design discussions and integration reviews to ensure developments meet client requirements
  • Leading technical and systems safety submissions
  • Systems acceptance testing
  • Preparing systems for handing over and ensure readiness of logistics support for maintenance
  • Supporting the Programme Manager on communications with the users and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering with 3 to 6 years of relevant working experience in the Marine sector
  • Innovative and willingness to learn new technical and management skillsets
  • Independent, dynamic and driven personality with good analytical, problemsolving and interpersonal skills
