**KEY RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Setup the Operations in Singapore & Southeast Asia
  • Help and support coverage of wider Asia business and politics.
  • Hiring reporters, producers, and support staff to generate informative and exclusive news stories and reports for Asharq TV, digital, social and Radio platforms.
  • Manage the operation, build contacts with decision makers, and represent Asharq in Singapore, Southeast Asia, and wider Asia as its most Senior Manager.
  • Manage the relationship with Bloomberg's management in Singapore.
  • Manage the production & operational budget.
**SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Finance
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a senior position at an Arabiclanguage TV provider
  • Fluent spoken & written Arabic & English
  • Experience in editing Arabic TV scripts
  • A CFA (at least level 1) or postgraduate degree in business and finance
  • Experience in both front of camera presentation and behind the camera production
  • Experience in coordinating with digital and social media platforms
  • Exceptional editorial skills: Ability to recognize stories
  • Thorough knowledge of Business and economics
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to manage teams remotely
  • Experience in providing editorial judgment
  • Experience in business related news formulating best practices
