Senior Library Executive, Resources, Discovery and Access

The Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services (OIKLS) is looking for a Senior Library Executive to join their team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement and subscription of information resources, focusing on databases and ebook collections.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of purchasing information resources and maintaining records for seamless user access.
  • Provide usage data for resource evaluation and subscriptions.
  • Ensure active links to resources for the NTU community.
  • Implement automation for DocDel services via RapidILL.
  • Collaborate with vendors for document requests not available in RapidILL.
  • Identify and suggest highly requested resources for purchase.
  • Offer peer training to enhance team knowledge.
  • Manage ILL requests effectively.
  • Administer payments for loan services and invoices from libraries/vendors.
  • Respond to resource-related queries and manage email correspondence.
  • Analyze queries for new resource recommendations.


Requirements:

  • Diploma holders with 3 years of relevant experience or Degree holders with interest in library and information science.
  • Experience in business, finance, or procurement and knowledge of library management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable, willing to learn, and stay updated on industry practices.
  • Service-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
