In Citi's Internal Audit (IA) team, we conduct impartial evaluations of Citi's control framework, risk mitigation strategies, and governance structures for key stakeholders such as Citi's board, senior management, and regulatory entities. With a global presence and a team of over 2,500 professionals, we provide assurance across all of Citi's operations.

We are currently seeking a skilled professional to join us as an Assistant Vice President, Audit Senior Analyst - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Senior Auditor I - C12) based in Changi Business Park, Singapore. The Senior Auditor role involves conducting moderately complex audits and evaluations of Citi's risk and control environment in collaboration with the Audit team. The primary aim is to leverage specialized knowledge to contribute to the enhancement of processes and methodologies, thereby aiding Citi in achieving its business objectives.

This position will assist the regional Product Control team in executing Global and local audits that focus on the function's core activities:


- Profit & Loss (P&L) validation and estimations


- Verification of balance sheets


- Independent price validation and Fair value adjustments


- End-to-end reconciliations


- Intercompany reporting


- Regulatory reporting

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting moderately complex audits, preparing audit reports, presenting findings to the business, and proposing effective solutions
  • Drafting audit reports, addressing business issues, and discussing cross-functional solutions
  • Completing assigned audits within stipulated time and cost limits
  • Identifying, assessing, and suggesting solutions for emerging risks
  • Contributing to the enhancement of audit processes, including automation development
  • Applying internal audit standards and regulations to offer timely assurance and influence audit scope
  • Fostering strong relationships with line management for a better business understanding
  • Operating independently with minimal supervision
  • Exercising judgment and autonomy
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and team members
  • Evaluating risks in business decisions with a focus on protecting Citigroup's reputation and assets

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in auditing technology applications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial products and their impact on P&L and risk
  • Familiarity with Product control processes and previous experience in this field (either in audit or business)
  • Proficiency in valuation of financial instruments and related controls
  • Stay updated on market trends affecting business P&L
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Effective influencing and relationship management skills
  • Ability to remain impartial in diverse work environments

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
