Tunnel Enginner

Job Summary:

The Tunnel Engineer produces work plan and supervises the bored tunnelling work to deliver the product to the requirement of the project.

He/she is expected to work well with the teammates to achieve the shared goals. Working in shifts will be required.

Essential Job Functions:
The Tunnel Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Provide planning of tunnelling operation from safety, quality and productivity viewpoint.
• Provide engineering supervision to bored tunnelling operation.
• Ensure the work is done in compliant with the protocol established for the project.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Report to Tunnel Manager/Deputy Tunnel Manager.

Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:

• Recognized bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of TBM bored tunnelling experience.
• Large diameter (over 10m diameter) bored tunnelling experience.
• Hydro-Shield TBM experience (if applicable)

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

• Good knowledge of local authority requirements and engineering standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good computer skill to fulfil the job functions.
• Ability to analyse and synthesize complex issues quickly.
• Ability to work well under pressure

5. Physical Demand (if applicable):

• Physically fit and healthy
• Ability to work under compressed air.
