We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Watch your ambitions become reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

About the Team

The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated.

Our product engineering team is responsible for building an e-commerce ecosystem that is innovative, secure and intuitive for our users.

We are looking for passionate and talented people to join us as we drive the future of e-commerce here at TikTok.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop data mining pipelines to extract data assets (eg. entity labels) from aggregated data and enable the extraction of actionable insights from large volumes of domain data.
  • Design and development of various strategies, algorithms and machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy and coverage of extracted data assets.
  • Analyze ecommerce datarelated business problems and abstract them into datarelated requirements that are then implemented to help resolve key business problems.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate currently pursuing a Degree/Master/PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with common statistical machine learning model algorithms, understands deep learning principles and frameworks.
  • Familiar with one of the Python/Java/Go/C++ programming languages and common data structures and algorithms; demonstrable coding ability.
  • Good problem analysis and solving ability, quick learner with independent research ability, strong collaboration and teamwork mindset.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile, quick self learner, highly selfmotivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver.
  • Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.
  • Professional level proficiency in written and spoken English.
