Senior Climate Change Consultant - Singapore
Our climate work is rapidly growing, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Climate Change Consultant.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of a global portfolio of climate change and sustainability-related projects.
  • Delivering corporate and whole life cycle greenhouse gas assessments to international standards and guidelines.
  • Delivering net zero and sciencebased targets as well as carbon management and netzero transition plans in line with best practice.
  • Engaging with stakeholders in support of the abovestated processes and in relation to strategy and policy development projects.
  • Supporting climate change risk and opportunities assessments (both physical and transition) to international standards including with respect to TCFD, ISSB and EP4 (Equator Principles).
  • Supporting cutting edge research to produce international standards and guidance relating to climate change strategy, risk management and metrics and targets.
  • Leading and supporting the tender and proposal delivery process.
  • Leading and supporting business development including managing client relationships, contributing to papers and conferences and thought leadership articles to promote the business.

Essential qualification/experience:

  • Degree in relevant discipline (Climate Change, Earth Sciences, Geography, Sustainability, Environmental Policy, Environmental and Social Sciences).
  • 35 years of experience delivering greenhouse gas assessments and verification to international standards (IPCC guidelines on treatment of emissions sources, GHG Protocol etc.) as well as in accordance with Singapore's measurement and reporting regulations and guidance.
  • 35 years of experience delivering whole life carbon assessments to various standards (e.g., Green Mark, PAS 2080 and/or EN 15978 etc.).
  • Understanding of net zero and sciencebased target setting as well as in the development of carbon management plans and route maps.
  • Experience of stakeholder engagement and client management.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing skills and proven expertise in creating and reviewing high quality written documents (proposals and deliverables).
  • Demonstrable business development skills, sufficient to identify and seize commercial opportunities in Singapore and internationally.

Desirable experience:

  • Experience of physical and/or transitional climate change modelling.
  • Experience in the delivery of climate change risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Deep understanding of the sustainability and climate change landscapes, including the challenges which are faced in the relevant areas of practice.
