Roles & Responsibilities

Data Architect

Onsite, West

Mission & Main Tasks
  • Building and operating a successful Smart Factory data warehouse.
  • Structuring IT/OT Data Architecture and Governance:Collaborating with the DSC to create a data strategy addressing industry needs.
    Identifying and evaluating current data management technologies.
  • Developing a data model for the database structure.
  • Designing, documenting, constructing, and deploying database architectures and applications.
  • Integrating technical features (e.g., scalability, security, performance, data recovery).
  • mplementing measures for data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Establishing database standards and governance documentation.
  • Maintaining a common repository for all data architecture artifacts and procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications:Including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, data warehouses, and big data.
  • Defining the data architecture framework, standards, and principles:Covering modeling, metadata, and security.
  • Implementation and guidance:Best approaches for CDC, HA, Backup Recovery, and Audit policies.
    Defining reference architecture for others to follow in creating and improving data systems.
  • Collaborating and coordinating:With multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors.
  • Designing and implementing effective database solutions:To store and retrieve company data.
  • Assessing data implementation procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Preparing accurate database design and architecture reports.
    Recommending solutions to enhance existing database systems.

Background - Education / Working Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data architecture.
  • Development skills in JAVA, C, C++, C#, and databases (RDBMS, Big Data).
Professional Skills - Knowledge & Skills & Others (Certification, etc.)
  • Data Architecture Design: Design, develop, and maintain the organization's data architecture considering current and future data needs.
    Define data standards, guidelines, and best practices for data modeling, storage, and retrieval.
  • Data Modeling: Create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models reflecting business requirements and technical considerations.
    Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and data integrity.
  • Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement efficient data integration solutions across different systems, databases, and data sources.
    Ensure seamless data flow and consistency.
  • Data Governance and Security: Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures for data quality, accuracy, and compliance.
    Design and enforce data security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Data Storage and Management: Select appropriate data storage solutions, considering factors such as data volume, type, and access patterns.
    Oversee data storage systems (databases, data warehouses, data lakes) to ensure performance and availability.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data processing and retrieval.
    Work on indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies to optimize query performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data architecture.
    Present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and understandably.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay updated with emerging data technologies and trends, leveraging their potential benefits for the organization's data architecture.
