Lovell Minnick is a US Private Equity firm that invests in the global financial services industry, including related technology and business services companies, with a focus on helping to build long term value for clients, employees and shareholders.

The acquisition will support the continuation of Charles Taylor's successful growth strategy, with a focus on expanding client relationships, broadening specialist capabilities and the range of services and technology solutions, deepening geographic coverage, and reinvesting in quality of service and technology.


The Role:


The role of an Aviation Surveyor investigates and reports upon Aviation incidents for and on behalf of Aviation Insurers and provides technical services.

Charles Taylor Singapore offers hybrid working and a fantastic newly renovated office environment in the CBD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receipt of new claim instructions and initiating claims handling procedures.
  • Attendance at incident site (where applicable) to complete a thorough investigation of loss circumstances and damages sustained.
  • Liaison with official accident investigation agencies (governmental and/or commercial) and other agencies including airport authorities, landowners, etc.
  • Evaluation and assessment of all elements which may impact upon Underwriters' potential exposure under the Policy of Insurance.
  • Regular liaison and reporting to Underwriters and other insurance practitioners regarding circumstances, damage, costs and cause of loss, including detailed assessment and reporting of settlement options and recommendations.
  • Regular liaison with Insured to progress claims settlement.
  • Liaison and negotiation with prospective repair agents, manufacturers, third party claimants in respect of recovery, damage, repair workscopes, cost estimates.
  • Approval of cost estimates and final invoices.
  • Provision of technical advice to inhouse liability team, external lawyers in respect of liability and/or subrogation issues.
  • Where necessary to act as expert witness in litigation/enquiries.
  • Provision of general advice and assistance to Underwriters in respect of interpretation of policy conditions.
  • Supervision and disposal of salvage and site clearance.
  • Provision of adhoc technical advice and expertise to Aviation insurance market.
  • Provision of aircraft technical assessment and valuation services to the Aviation market
  • Provision of risk assessment service

  • Ad Hoc duties: Your key accountabilities will include such other duties and tasks are as allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your role.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree / Certificate Holder in Aero skills / Aeronautical Engineering / Aircraft Maintenance or similar
  • Holder of an EASA (or equivalent) aircraft maintenance engineers licence with at least 10 year's working experience.

Technical Skills and Experience

  • Strong Aerospace engineering background, both technical and managerial.
  • International experience of handson aircraft maintenance and repair across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
  • Experience of aircraft structural repairs on large commercial, business or general aviation aircraft, ideally including helicopters.
  • Previous adjusting or surveying experience would be desirable.

Required Skills:

  • Possess firstclass English communication skills with a confident and personable demeanour.
  • Impeccable fluency in written English is required to prepare both technical and nontechnica
