Position Description

  • We are currently looking for an experienced Head of Sales, an individual who is a motivated selfstarter responsible for building and growing relationships with named holding companies and agencies across the South-EastAsia region.
  • The individual should have a deep understanding of the ins and outs of media agencies, their operating models, and their organizational structures. This includes but is not limited to planning/strategy, investment, programmatic, advanced TV, analytics, as well as agencyowned platforms and data solutions.
  • The individual should have a passion for connected TV, advanced TV, and the rapidly changing way consumers are viewing premium content across all screens. It's key to have a pulse on how the media agency community is thinking about allocating client video spend to reserved and programmatic channels and what solutions they need to do so more seamlessly.


The Head of Sales must be able to think strategically, anticipate how buying decisions are made, uncover the business needs of key clients and have a proven ability to negotiate (holding-company-level) partnerships to drive spend.

Additionally, this executive will be a team player and a team leader and have the ability to work collaboratively across Samsung Ads and other organizations in a fluid and fast-paced environment.

This position is based in Singapore with regional travel as needed. You will report to the General Manager of Samsung Ads.

Responsibilities

  • As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for identifying, establishing, and managing seniorlevel relationships with agencies and their trading departments as well as direct advertisers across South East Asia, in order to ensure CTV (Connected TV) as well as digital budgets are invested on Samsung's suite of advertising solutions.


You will build and lead the local sales team, drive in-house business modelling, identify actual business opportunities, analyse trends regarding the market, technology, and competitors, and manage a team of sales executives and solutions managers.


  • You will work collaboratively with demand and supply teams to structure media deals to meet client objectives efficiently including a selection of keyaccounts who are toptier advertisers to Samsung Ads.
  • You would be expected to use your network of advertising agency relationships to structure and build high impact partnerships that exceed our revenue goals.
  • This position is a managerial position and part of the Samsung Ads APAC leadership team so it requires not only competency in sales, business development, and account management but also proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Be a strategic leader for growth and direction for monetizing Samsung Ads and partner properties
  • Build gotomarket strategy for launching new ad products into market with advertising clients, and establish longterm position for Samsung in the advertising industry in South-EastAsia
  • Develop and execute a longterm strategy for driving partnerships and ad sales with agencies and advertisers on a regional level.
  • Initiate structure and negotiate high impact partnerships with clients including the big 5 agency groups. New advertiser revenue generation through top 5 agencies & key independents.
  • Create and execute business growth strategies, account plans, and business processes for agency partners, and establish and develop Clevel relationships
  • Build, prioritise, manage and communicate an active pipeline of partners.
  • Build and maintain a highperforming team, and represent Samsung Ads as a speaker at industry events, developing Samsung's brand, and identifying prospective partners at industry events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to launch new agencyfocused products with your partners. Collate and interpret partner feedback to facilitate product enhancements.
  • Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of Samsung Ads' products and services, and ensure compliance to Samsung standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Build and facilitate deals to meet campaign objectives in an efficient manner.
  • Identify opportunities to grow client spend through data analysis, research, optimization, coordinating with internal teams.
  • Lead a team of account managers, and solutions consultants, and liaise with support teams, including Sales Finance, Sales Operations, Marketing, and product specialists.
