Job Scope

  • Assist and facilitate the Main Teachers in conducting computing classes during training phase
  • Inspiring children and teaching coding to children (Aged 46)
  • Helping out in logístical support for key classes and events
  • Perform the necessary administrative and operational work to effectively run the classes
  • Taking over as Main teacher after some training phase

Requirements:

  • Weekend/Weekday evening classes, each class duration 1hour/1.5 hours
  • Able to commit to min. 2 classes per week
  • On the Job training provided
  • A selfstarter, willing to identify and act on things quickly
  • Excellent communication skills and good with children
  • Students/Graduates from university/polytechnic preferably in the field of Engineering/Science/IT/Computer Science
  • Knowledge of Scratch Junior, Scratch, Microbit (in Scratch and Makecode Platforms) and Python is a plus. Knowledge in other coding apps like CodeSpark is a bonus
  • Helping to expand curriculum into interesting platforms such as Minecraft Education etc.
Classes are usually held on weekends morning and afternoons, as well as weekday late afternoon/evenings

Part-time hours: 4 per week

Job Types:

Salary:
$20.00 ~ $25.00 per hour; Hourly rate dependent on performance as well as how long you have been teaching with us.
