What the role is

  • As a Manager/Senior Manager, Analytics, in the Internal Audit Branch, you will implement and maintain the audit framework for the use of data analytics. You will also identify emerging trends in the Ministry's data and highlight potential risks and areas to followup.

What you will be working on

  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including IT consultants and vendors on the identification and gathering of data required for the design and refinement of audit tests
  • Perform extraction and analysis of data to identify emerging trends and/or pertinent issues for audit focus, including conducting data validation tests for further verification of issues/trends
  • Build up data analytics, visualisation and robotic process automation (RPA) capabilities in the Branch to enhance efficiency
  • Collaborate with data scientists to design and build analytical models to enhance audit planning and effectiveness

What we are looking for

  • Experience in Computer Science, Statistics or Electrical/Electronic Engineering related fields
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large sets of data
  • Resourcefulness and meticulousness
  • Good interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills
  • Competent in a variety of tools such as SQL, R, Python, Tableau
  • Experience in audit, knowledge of business processes and/or machinelearning techniques would be an advantage
