What the role is

  • Job Description
IMDA is spearheading Singapore's drive to be a world leading Digital Economy.

IMDA aims to empower our companies and workforce with digital technologies and enable Singapore to be a leading Digital Economy in the global area.


He/She will also use various methods to identify technology trends in industry and research, work with various engineering and business teams to assess the implications on our policy, guide strategic research directions and assess the needs for changes in our approach to industry development.

Responsibilities

  • Own analytics track to identify technology trends in industry and research using a variety of horizon scanning techniques. This will include working with stakeholders from various business and specialist teams within IMDA to align on horizon scanning needs, strategies and initiatives, as well as engaging companies and industry users to understand the challenges and opportunities presented.
  • Analyse trends to assess policy implementations, guide strategic research directions and changes in our approach in industry development and implication on policies. Provide insights on new products and solutions and technology capabilities required to support the technology ecosystem.
  • Update senior stakeholders on technology trends.
  • Support annual work plans for the whole group. Support the group in crossdivision projects, which may include transformation of internal processes.
  • Facilitate and bring together IMDA's strategies, focus, and various programmes into a cohesive narrative for preparation of budget speeches and update to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with at least 3 years working experience in relevant fields such as strategy development, tech research and analysis.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of technology and business trends.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to prepare analysis and assessments in clear and concise manner.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good project and time management skills to see through implementation of projects and plans.
