Job Description:

Devises, produces, and implements programs, techniques, and systems leveraging advanced analytical models (e.g., sophisticated statistics, operational research, computer science, processes) to convert structured and unstructured data into significant and actionable insights that drive decision-making.

  • Formulates and defines analytics solution objectives and technical requirements based on user needs, comprehension of business processes, industry demands, and advanced analytic models.
  • Conceptualizes, constructs, advances, and strengthens a client's analytic model, selecting the most suitable analytic modeling methodology to address the business issue effectively and deliver clear business-focused insights.
  • Integrates analytic models into an improved business process or operational system by collaborating with Application Developers and measures business performance based on the model.
  • Applies best practices to analytics solutions as a proficient analytics team member and contributes to enhancing best practices, leading model enhancements.
  • Summarizes intricate concepts through visual models to present insights in a simplified manner to enhance user experience.
  • Communicates the analytics solution effectively to the relevant stakeholders.

Education and Experience Required:

  • PhD in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or equivalent preferred. Alternatively, a Master's Degree in these fields with a minimum of 2-3 years of pertinent experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in advanced data science methodologies, including classical regression, neural networks, CHAID, CART, association rules, sequence analysis, cluster analysis, and text mining.
  • Capable of translating business requirements into mathematical models and data science objectives to achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • In-depth understanding of analytics software such as R, SAS, SPSS, Python, and analytics deployment architectures.
  • Advanced skills in machine learning, data integration, mathematical modeling, and ETL tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio, Talend.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adeptness in working across geographical boundaries.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python, SQL, R, SAS, Java, Unix Shell scripting, and a desireable understanding of the Hadoop framework.
  • Advanced familiarity with data visualization techniques and software tools like Spotfire, SAS, R, Qlikview, Tableau, HTML5, D3.
