Accountant (SPV, Fund)

We are Asia-focused with our headquarters in Singapore and additional office in Hong Kong.

The primary tasks of this position are

1. to prepare financial statements for Hong Kong, Singapore and offshore companies (Seychelles, BVI, Cayman etc), small funds, ensuring the records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time and

  • To oversee other accountants whom are preparing financial reports as in 1.

**Responsibilities: Manage all accounting transactions for SPV's, simple funds

Publish financial statements on time

Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable

Ensure timely bank payments

Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

Report on the company's financial health and liquidity

Reinforce financial data confidentiality

Comply with financial policies and regulations

Review other accountant's financial reports

Track work schedule and manage deliverables of other team members

Provide guidance as to correct GAAP and reporting (IFRS)

Keep up to date on GAAP/IFRS and changes in Government filing requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bsc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree

CPA/ACCA or its equivalent

Excellent knowledge of GAAP (IFRS)

Tax knowledge (corporate tax, GST,withholding tax) is a plus

Experience in Big 4 or similar preferred. Or prior experience managing in an Accounting Service Provider

A self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently

Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures

Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero

Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel and Word

Experience with general ledger functions

Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
