Key Responsibilities:

  • To plan and implement the curriculum a wellrun, purposeful, engaging and childcentered programme responsive to children's needs and aligned to the principles spelt out in the standard

ECDA:
Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) Curriculum.

  • Create a learnercentered environment where children have the freedom to exercise their inquisitive minds to explore, experiment, question, acquire knowledge and skills and create new knowledge
  • Participate actively in assessing the needs of the children.
  • Work with and support the Kindergarten Principal, colleagues and other nonacademic staff at the Kindergarten in enhancing the quality of children's educational experiences.
  • Contribute talents and professional expertise towards the Kindergarten initiatives, educational programmes and projects.
  • Keep abreast of the latest educational development and to continually upgrade one's skills and knowledge
  • Be involved in action research projects.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Preschool Education
  • Teaching (DPE-T) / Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE-T) / Specialist Dip in ECE or its equivalent recognized by ECDA
  • Those who are undergoing Early Childhood courses are welcome to apply.
