This position will be located in Singapore and report into Head of R&D Greater Asia.

  • Developing new solutions in accordance with the strategies and priorities set by the GBU and the Projects Platforms in the context of the PMT (medium-term plan)
  • Exploring new opportunities, based on macro-trends, overall trends, needs of the markets and the customers
  • Supporting the existing activity with the different technological and scientific skills

The Site Officer will play a supportive role to the operations of the facility and laboratories (Pharma, Biopharma, Analytical and Food Labs) and the Customer Experience Centre of the Roquette Asia Pacific Innovation Center.

The role is responsible to assist with the administrative and maintenance activities of the site and research laboratories, including but not limited to the following:

Research Laboratory management:

  • Ensure good housekeeping of the laboratory at all times and ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations (e.g. EHS)
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs of lab equipment and facilities
  • Keep track of chemicals/consumables/spare parts inventories to ensure continuous supply for lab users
  • Maintain up-to-date chemical inventory records, chemical /biohazard waste management and records as well as other important documentation such as laboratory risk assessment and laboratory standard operating procedures
  • Support and coordinate procurement activities such as request for quotations, vendor creation in the system, raise purchase orders and obtain the necessary approvals, and liaise with vendors and Roquette Finance on purchase invoices
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and off-boarding of interns and full-time employees
  • Support the operations of the Innovation Centre (i.e., payment of regular bills, pest control, supplies, visitors, events)
  • Maintain finance documents of purchases for audit purposes by ensuring that quotations, approvals, orders, delivery orders and invoices are properly stored
  • Be the point-of-contact for the landlord and building management for facility/building-related issues (e.g. security, repairs, communications)
  • Work with lab managers on capex and opex management.

Office management:

  • Maintain pantry and office supplies such as stationaries and other items
  • Manage visitor registration at the innovation center
  • Liaise with freight forwarders for all shipments and management shipment records
  • Carry out all general office management such as housekeeping, cleaning contractor supervision, seating arrangements, and help with site events.
