Position Purpose:


The Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager oversees the entire supply chain operations for the various business units within the Group.

This position is also responsible for the development and management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance business outcomes.


Reporting Relationships
The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer with functional direction from the Group Sales and Marketing Manager. The incumbent will also work closely with the Operations team and the various Business Unit Managers.

Duties:

The duties for the position of Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager, Singapore include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and shipping companies / agents, and external logistics teams with which the Panamex Group have dealings.
  • Oversee and improve all aspects of the Supply Chain within the Group's global footprint. (Africa, Caribbean, USA, Asia, NZ, Australia, Pacific Islands, Indian Ocean, and Europe).
  • Build new relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, shipping companies / agents that the Panamex Group has no current relationship with.
  • Manage negotiations on behalf of the company with various players in the Supply Chain, including but not limited to, suppliers, manufacturers, logistics, shipping and freight pricing.
  • Manage product costings leveraging fluctuations in global commodity pricing and foreign exchange rates.
  • Assist all areas of the business with any inquiries relating to Supply Chain, offering guidance, advice and expertise ensuring that optimal outcomes are achieved on all projects.
  • Ensure that staff within the Group Supply Chain are taking advantage of the best options available to the company.
  • Inform management of other opportunities relating to Supply Chain activities.
  • Oversee the team who manage the administrative functions relating to the documentation required for export and import of goods across the entire group's business, coordinating a uniform approach to meet the group's demands worldwide.
  • Monitor and evaluate potential shipping services that could be of benefit to the Panamex Group.
  • Implement procedures and quality controls to ensure that all activities relating to the Supply Chain within the Group are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Effectively manage and control costs and show savings across the supply chain platform.
  • Extensive travel will be required in this role. Normal duties must be maintained and well managed whilst undertaking travel.

The Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager will be available to the Executive Management team and the Sales and Marketing Management Team as well as the various business managers, to provide support and timely information as and when required.

Reporting


A Monthly Report is to be prepared by the Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager and submitted to the Chief Executive Officer of the Panamex Group by no later than 6 business days after the end of each month.


Planning

Procurement


The Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager will build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers ensuring that our requirements are prioritized within their planning schedules.


The Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager will also work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams within the business to ensure product availability to meet their market needs.

Projects


The Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager will at times be involved in providing recommendations to the company on specific projects and must be able to provide verified supporting arguments for any recommendations provided.

Shipping


The Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager will ensure that he is across the availability and timing of all shipping options to and from our relevant locations.

It is imperative that the best option for the company be selected and communicated to relevant parties.

Budgets
Input from the Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager may be sought when budgets and forecasts are being compiled.

The Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager must be ready to provide relevant information to the budget team regarding product costs, shipping costs and trends, commodity pricing and fluctuations, and be able to support for his recommendations with relevant data.

The Group Supply Chain and Procurement Manager must be fully conversant with all software systems utilized across the group.

He must also have an in-depth knowledge of the systems used in the local and overseas shipping ports that are relevant to providing accurate and timely document and information to support the company's shipping needs.
