Responsibilities:

Operate cranes to lift, move, and place heavy materials and equipment at construction sites, ports, or industrial facilities.
Inspect crane equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, and report any defects or malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
Communicate with ground personnel or supervisors to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment.
Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload.
Position crane and rigging equipment according to job requirements and site conditions.
Perform routine maintenance on crane equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs.
Keep logs of crane operations and daily inspections.
Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

Certification from a recognized crane operator training program.
A minimum of 2 years of experience operating cranes.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
Good handeye coordination and depth perception.
Physical ability to operate controls and foot pedals for extended periods of time and work in varying weather conditions.
Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines for crane operations.
Ability to communicate effectively with ground personnel and supervisors.
Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on the task at hand.
