Squarepoint is seeking Software Developers with robust technical skills for its Machine Learning Infrastructure team.
You will join a team responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining backend applications and frameworks that support quant and trader functions. The team's multi-year roadmap focuses on creating flexible, scalable, and well-designed systems to accommodate future enhancements.
This role entails collaborating with data scientists, ML researchers, and developers to design, develop, and maintain the continuously evolving ML infrastructure. While software development expertise is crucial, a keen interest in ML infrastructure or prior experience in the field is highly advantageous.
Position Overview:
- Assess existing codebase, consolidate repositories, and propose an internal technical roadmap.
- Engage with investment stakeholders and quantitative researchers to align with their needs.
- Develop and maintain scalable, tested, production-grade systems and infrastructure for ML model containerization, deployment, versioning, testing, and monitoring.
- Take complete ownership of the products to ensure ongoing support and enhancements.
- Provide support for live production systems troubleshooting.
- Readiness to learn new software, ML technologies, and tools used by data scientists.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time software development experience.
- Experience with highly available distributed systems and managing large datasets.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Rust.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Linux environments and version control systems.
Nice to Have:
- Expertise in Vector storage and search for generative AI.
- Exposure to SLURM, PostgreSQL.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS or GCP).
- Understanding of financial markets.
- Experience with gRPC, Apache Arrow.
- Proficiency with ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience with ML infrastructure frameworks such as Kubeflow, MLFlow, etc.
