Job Description:

  • Draft, review and advise on a broad range of banking related and commercial contracts.
  • Draft, review and advise on ISDA related matters.
  • Assist in handling dispute related matters.
  • Advise and participate in branch related projects.
  • Working together with multiple internal stakeholders to prepare and advise on legal documentation, internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage external counsels effectively when engaged.
  • Keep abreast with the relevant laws and regulations relating to financial institutions.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Section Head of Legal.

Qualifications:

  • A recognized university degree, preferably in Law
  • A member of the Singapore Association of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as inhouse counsel for financial institutions
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the following areas:
  • Conveyancing or loan documentation
  • Drafting/Reviewing of agreements/contracts
  • ISDA related matters
  • Corporate secretariat
  • Good understanding of the Singapore Companies Act (Cap 50) and ACRA filing
  • Resourceful and a good team player
  • Good time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
