We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a
Vice President, Investment Services.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Reporting into Head of Investment Services, colead in managing and ensuring business as usual in the area of Investment Services
  • Ensure compliance to the investment mandate and other regulations, and the adoption and implementation of sound internal controls that are in line with HSBC standards
  • Review and enhance workflow processes undertaken in Investment Services to improve efficiency and mitigate risks of errors
  • Anchor for General Account support including trade support activities, collateral management oversight, ISDA and CSA, fund transfer activities and fee administration
  • Prepare and review subscription documents covering multiple asset classes such as REITS, Private Equity, Infrastructure Debt, etc
  • Prepare and review portfolio account opening, fund manager transition and new fund manager onboarding
  • Support full lifecycle of ILP subfunds' covering but not limited to trade order placements, settlements, NAV valuations and reconciliations
  • Lead and support ILP funds' creation or closure, funds' switch, business asusual initiatives, UAT and senior stakeholders' requests
  • Support ILP related monthend close
  • Prepare and review daily cash management and ensure sufficient funding and float
  • Manage KYC and AML documentation requirement as and when required
  • Oversee and ensure timely submission of internal, external and regulatory reports
  • Contracts review, negotiation in the capacity of Investment Services, covering Operating Memorandum etc
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including the CIO, Investment team, product fund team, external fund managers, and other affiliated companies such as HSBC Securities Services and HSBC Asset Management
  • Front and liaise with auditors on Investment Services related and reporting matters and ensure timely response and closure
  • Mentor and coach junior staff on daytoday matters
  • Work with Business Risk and Control Team to identify risks through periodic oversight on processes and service providers
  • Any other adhoc tasks as assigned
Requirements

  • Educational qualification: University graduate. Additional professional qualification such as Chartered Financial Analyst will be viewed favourably
  • Ability to work under pressure as well as tight deadline
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload while working in an agile manner
  • Comfortable and able to make sound decisions in conflicting environment
  • Strong knowledge in local regulations such as MAS Notice 307 and Securities and Futures Act
  • Strong understanding in investment instruments such as equities, fixed income, alternative investments and derivatives
  • Strong mentoring skills in coaching junior staff
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholders' management skills
  • Strong risk and control mindset
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work under mínimal supervision and deliver quality output
