The Senior Manager, Network Solutions will manage a regional team responsible for all aspects of Network requests including pre-consultancy, requirements gathering, solution design, operational handover and assisting with operational support, where applicable.

In addition to managing the in-house regional team, the role will be responsible for regional capacity and stable teams and for working with global outsourced teams providing Network services.

This will include liaising with the other regional and global Delivery teams to ensure resources are being effectively utilized and are at the right level.

Additionally, some larger projects will require ad hoc dedicated resources to be engaged and supervised on a temporary basis. The role will need to build strong partnerships with key vendors, Network and TS teams, to support these activities.


The role is the Single Point of Contact and "go to" person for the overall management of Network requests in the region and will ensure that requests are optimally assigned and resourced to meet business requirements, pro-actively taking corrective action when required.

This will include a high level of communication with business partners and senior management and representing the region for global planning and co-ordination activities.


Whilst individual requests will be managed by members of the team, the Senior Manager, Network Solutioning will act as an escalation point and will be expected to be familiar with the details of major projects and initiatives, together with global standards and procedures, participating and providing communications as appropriate.


The role is part of the Global Network Delivery organization and will work closely with the other team leads to ensure co-operation, smooth workflow across the teams, resolution of issues, coordinated vendor management and continual service improvement.


Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage resourcing of regional Network projects and requests, ensuring that each one has a clear owner and the business requirements are understood and can be met. This includes managing intake and may require discussion with business partners for preconsultancy and aligning expectations. When global projects are assigned to the region, this will include liaising with other regional teams and business partners in other regions.
  • Work closely with the Global Internal Projects team leader and other regional teams to supervise regional capacity/stable teams and ensure right sizing, working effectively and any issues are dealt with promptly. Share details of forthcoming implementation activities so the teams can plan resource requirements and be flexed if necessary.
  • Overseeing requests through their life cycle and ensuring effective reporting is in place to monitor team activities and highlight potential issues. This will include acting as an escalation point to deal with issues such as resource constraints or nonstandard solution design and ensuring strong partnership with other teams (e.g. Ordering & Quoting; Change Management).
  • Ensuring solutions are effectively transitioned for ongoing operational support and if necessary, that team resources are made available to address operational issues.
  • Develop and build strong partnerships with key vendors who are providing resources to enhance a good working relationship and maximum flexibility. This will include regular reviews and account governance activities.
  • Seek and implement service improvements wherever possible and represent the regional team in the development and improvement of global processes and procedures.
  • When appropriate, become directly involved with key projects providing consultancy and communicating with business partners and other stakeholder as required.
  • People manage the regional inhouse team.
Other Duties

  • Involvement in vendor selection and governance processes
  • Approve purchase of equipment, services and supplies
  • Backup and support roles and functions in the Network team to ensure delivery of consistent customer service

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Technical Leadership: Provide expert-level technical guidance and leadership in LAN and WAN networking, including routing, switching, load balancing, network security, and protocol optimization, including SDN, SD-WAN, Network Automation, Cloud Solutions, 5G. Knowledge on UCC and/or call center technology is a plus.
