Position Summary
Join CRPP as a Senior Education Research Scientist within the Schools, Leadership and System Studies (SLSS) research programme.
SLSS research delves into effective teaching and learning practices impact on students' educational outcomes, systemic influences in Singapore's educational landscape, life course and educational pathways, pedagogic, curricular, and assessment shifts, leadership studies, and policy and programme evaluations.
We are seeking candidates with expertise in:
- Policy and programme evaluation and implementation
- Classroom observations research and methodologies
- Quantitative and qualitative longitudinal research
- Pedagogical and assessment research
- Sociology and economics of education research
- Related areas

Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline such as sociology of education, educational policy, assessment and evaluation, economics of education, etc.
- Preferably with at least 5 years of postdoctoral experience
- Experience in innovative teaching and learning research
- Proven track record in research leadership, high-quality publications, and successful research grant applications
- Competence in research supervision and engagement with government stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic research projects at CRPP and secure external funding
- Conduct high-quality research, contribute to advancements in teaching and learning, and disseminate research outcomes
- Engage in broader research and service activities at OER/NIE
- Manage administrative tasks related to research projects and mentor junior staff
- Supervise students in research and dissertation work
