This position is responsible for ensuring the facility and its equipment are operating efficiently, perform preventative maintenance and stocking of critical parts to minimize downtime.

In addition, this position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining safety and environmental programs designed to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control workplace safety hazards for the Kohler Singapore Operations.

Provide leadership and assistance to all areas to meet or exceed compliance with Kohler's and government regulatory requirements promoting a safe and healthy work environment.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

FACILITY MANAGEMENT:

  • Maintenance of the building and the equipment within the facility.
  • Implement preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment are in serviceable condition and stocking of spares to minimize downtime
  • Investigate and identify root cause of component failures and areas of frequent, expensive, serious, or potentially major problems to establish required corrective actions.
  • Prepare, monitor, and control Maintenance budget.
  • Develop and prepare reports, organize meetings and coordinate capital projects
  • Implement new technology on energy saving, to make the facility GREEN.
  • Parttake in capital planning

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and audits
  • Design and deliver safety training programs and regular safety awareness sessions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Evaluate and manage hazardous waste management programs
  • Manage emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Identify and coordinate environmental and safety improvement plans ensurin the continuous improvement of safety in new or existing products, processes, and procedures in conjunction with the Kohler Safety Management System.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of pertinent regulations in relation to the environment and safety.
  • Initiate and coordinate process improvement action plans based on quality, delivery, cost, environmental and safety initiatives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive program to investigate and evaluate accidents to eliminate/reduce the frequency and severity of accidents and reoccurrence.
  • Maintain all Kohler and government required programs, training, logs, records and reports.
  • Maintain regular contact with the Kohler Co. EHS Global Power Group Program Coordinator
  • Any other assignments arranged by department superior.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field preferably ASP, CSP or CPEA certified
  • At least 5 years working experience in WSH related fields or equivalent in a manufacturing industry.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer and/or Certified Fire Safety Manager will be added advantages.
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge on regulatory requirements related to workplace safety and health, environmental as well as ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working experience in identifying, evaluating and controlling hazards in workplace
  • Highly motivated and be a selfstarter, able to organize and manage multiple tasks concurrently as well as work with minimum supervision.
