As a
SRE Engineer you'd be able to work on and solve some of the many interesting challenges we are facing, learn new ways of working, and build delightful high-quality products for our customers.


Responsibilities:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support, monitoring and optimisation of AWS cloud infrastructure particularly with regard to identifying and fixing issues whilst scaling the platform to support customer growth
  • Recommend process and technical improvements that are automated and scalable
  • Refine realtime observability and metrics to improve visibility into the performance of the full stack environment.
  • Adhere to the service Level objectives and response / resolve production issues within the agreed turnaroundtime
  • Participant system testing to ensure the high quality of a company's services and products into the production environment.
In order to be successful at the role, you must have the following:

  • You would have at least 4 years of working experience on AWS Engineering; to be specific, any experience in architecting, designing, developing and implementing AWS solutions is ideal.
  • An excellent problem solver and troubleshooter
  • Open and transparent and a thirst for learning
  • Knowledge of AWS resources such as EC2, RDS, ALB, ElasticCache, Autoscaling Group, S3, VPC, EKS, ECS, Cloudfront, Route53, CloudWatch, Lambda would be required
  • You will have at least 5 years of working experience with backend/microservice solutions as a senior developer, or as a data engineer.
  • Experience with commonly used languages, such as Kotlin/Python/Java
  • Experience with Databases, such as Postgres and DynamoDB, and messaging solutions such as Kafka
  • Familiar with Kubernetes (K8S) Microservice Architectures
  • Familiar with Distributed Systems, Performance Tuning, massive Concurrency Handling, and Caching Mechanisms
  • You would also have an educational background in Computer Science or related fields to have strong foundational knowledge of computer science fundamentals
  • Any experience in any DevOps Tools as well
  • Git, Docker, Terraform etc.
  • Overall, you will have strong understanding of IT infrastructure and the best practices across its different domains

Good to have (Optional):

  • Interest in chaos engineering, continuous improvement and system optimisation
  • Knowledge of other cloud provider like GCP or Azure
  • Any Cloud certification is a plus
  • Great communication skills

Role Specific Technical Competencies
