Duties & Responsibilities

⁠

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as Xrays, CT scans and MRIs
  • Position patients correctly to obtain the most accurate images and assist in the immobilization of patients if necessary. ⁠
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  • Follow established protocols for image production and patient identification.
  • Evaluate the quality of images to ensure diagnostic standards are met.
- ⁠Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient symptoms and imaging requirements.

  • Maintain patient records and update information as required. ⁠
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. ⁠
  • Provide patient education about procedures and address any concerns or questions.
- ⁠Assist in training and supervising student radiographers or other staff members.

Education & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Radiographer in a clinical setting. ⁠
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and equipment.⁠
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently. ⁠
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
- ⁠Proficient in using radiology information systems and electronic medical records.

  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy regulations.
