Position Summary

The role will involve assisting in the daily monitoring of the risk in the Forexclear service, e.g. controlling the accuracy of the valuations and the prices used to perform Intraday and end of day valuations.

The role will involve developing risk management techniques and specifying the key requirements for the risk management function, including processes, reporting and monitoring requirements.


Roles and Responsibilities- Ensuring that the daily operational tasks are completed within the scope of defined risk management policies.- Continuous monitoring of market data, volatility, risk exposures and ensure that regular reporting is produced to identify exceptional positions;- Assist to provide regular reporting that is produced to identify members and clients positions, exceptional positions, model daily backtesting, daily activity monitoring and MI reporting; requesting further information if appropriate from exchanges; regulators or member firms.- P & L attribution for NDF and FXO products- Ensure that measures of liquidity and market behaviour are in place to quantify potential risks- Ensure that policies and procedures are applied consistently across products regardless of trade source of origin.- Assist to ensure that 'best practice' risk management are followed, with regular reviews of processes and procedures, and that risk management practice remains within policy.- Interpreting data, analysing results using statistical techniques.- Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.- Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.- Deal with members and clients and ensure all their questions are answered in due course and actions are taken to improve their satisfaction- Assist onboarding teams and facilitate new members onboarding process- Respond to customer queries.


Qualifications and Experience Required- Experience within a central clearing organisation, broker or investment bank, incorporating knowledge of the full product life cycle- Specific knowledge of FX and/or interest rate products including swaps, repos and futures and options risk management.- Logical approach to addressing issues and problem solving.

automation/enhancement- Strong communication skills, both oral and written- Able to manage workload/priorities for themselves, and ability to work to deadlines- Quantitative background (mathematics/finance/economics)- Degree qualified- Python Programming (preferable)- Application of systems knowledge and experience of spreadsheet VBA programming- Experience of process
