Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible to the Principal in the execution of professional duties and responsibilities.
  • As a Class Teacher, you are expected to:
    • Respect and value each child's social, cultural, and religious background, fostering mutual respect and tolerance.
    • Participate in managing pastoral care, health, welfare, and behavior, especially within your assigned class group.
    • Conduct classroom teaching in line with school policies and guidelines.
    • Utilize diverse teaching methods to ensure high-quality learning.
    • Develop planning documents with specific learning objectives, tailored tasks, and assessments.
    • Engage in professional discussions with colleagues while maintaining confidentiality.
    • Promote equal opportunities for all students.
    • Instill pride in the environment, encourage respect for others, and foster a caring community.
    • Oversee classroom management, including equipment care and organization.
    • Create an engaging classroom environment that supports independent learning.
    • Collaborate with the school administration on pupil assessment procedures and records.
    • Establish positive connections with parents.
    • Guide and supervise classroom assistants.
  • As a Team Member, you will:
    • Participate in long-term planning with fellow staff members.
    • Take collective responsibility for school displays.
    • Contribute to organizing and delivering school assemblies.
    • Provide and receive advice on school-wide performance issues.
    • Share your expertise with the team.
    • Engage in appraisal processes and training for personal and professional development.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant teaching experience in early childhood education.
  • ECDA certification in the L2 category.
  • Minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood or Education.
  • Interest in or readiness to learn about inquiry-based learning.
