Role

Provide strategic advice to the company's management and business leaders on a broad variety of legal matters to ensure compliance with laws and regulations from a Singapore legal perspective;
Draft, negotiate, review, and interpret a broad range of agreements and provide risk assessments including but not limited to the formation of new companies, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions;

Expertise in financial regulations and advising the group in the following areas: Payment Services Act, Securities and Futures Act etc.

Assist in the development of strategies to manage risk exposure and prevent legal problems from occurring;
Instruct and liaise with external counsels as necessary.

Qualifications:

Degree from an accredited law school;
Have at least 5+ years of professional legal experience;
Experience in dealing with compliance and regulatory matters and regulators;
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with strong analytical and strategic thinking;
A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently;
Experience in financial services or fintech related business would be advantageous;
Fluency in English, written and spoke is required and knowledge of Mandarin/Chinese or Bahasa Melayu would be an asset.
