Part-Time Lecturer for IN6227 Data Mining

We are seeking a part time lecturer to teach one course, IN6227 Data Mining.

The course is offered in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information's MSc in Information Systems (MSIS) programme.

It revolves around the knowledge discovery process via data mining. Students will learn about various machine learning techniques involved, and data mining software and tools. They will also get to apply data mining to complex data types.

The preferred candidate should have either experience teaching at the graduate/undergraduate level or relevant industry experience and have knowledge of the topics covered in the course.

The course format consists of a three-hour weekly session that comprises lectures, tutorials and/or seminar discussions.

The instructor will be responsible for leading each three-hour session in addition to syllabus planning, class preparation, marking for assessment and student consultation.


Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher; a PhD holder is preferred.
  • Background in computer science, information systems, information science, or related discipline is strongly preferred.
