JR51177 TECHNOLOGIST - QEM CHEMLABAs a Chemistry Lab Technician, you will provide analytical and equipment support for the Chemistry Lab.

In addition, you will be expected to work on any scheduled shift work.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Adhere to all safety procedures in the Laboratory.
  • Work in a cleanroom Fab facility and Chemical Laboratory environment
  • Follow the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) to analyze routine samples and report to internal customer
  • Use analytical techniques and instrumentation such as chromatography, spectroscopy, titration, particle sizing, volume measurement and weight measurement
  • Perform sample, standard and reagent preparation, such as vapor phase deposition (VPD), extraction, digestion and series dilution.
  • Responsible for monitoring and sustaining equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned tools
  • Collaborate with area engineers to troubleshoot analytical issues and equipment issues
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, including 6S audit, housekeeping, maintaining stock of reagents, standards, spare parts and consumables
  • Keep the Chemistry Laboratory Manager updated on tool and area issues

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems and address root causes
  • Solid multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to be a proactive problem solver
  • The ability to be flexible with job responsibilities and take the initiative to assume added responsibilities
  • Successfully demonstrated teamwork skills with a strong focus on effective team dynamics
  • Basic knowledge of analytical equipments, such as Inductively Coupled Plasma/Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS), Inductively Coupled Plasma/Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Education:

  • Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Material Diploma is preferred or related field of study
  • Fresh graduates or 12 years of working experience.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift (Day, Night, A, B, C, D) and rotate shifts as needed
