The key responsibilities include contributing to curriculum development, exploring innovative teaching methods, and engaging in practical research endeavors. The role entails developing new courses, participating in consultancy projects, and actively supporting educational and institutional initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting lessons, preparing educational materials, and mentoring students
- Developing and enhancing teaching curriculum modules
- Collaborating on projects and offering consultancy to internal and external partners
- Implementing effective teaching strategies to facilitate learning
General Requirements:
- Passionate about education and dedicated to guiding and supporting students
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work within a team dynamic
- People-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous teaching experience is advantageous
- Interest in self-improvement and technology integration
- Enthusiastic about exploring new technologies
- Contribution to the Professional Adult and Continuing Education (PACE) classes
Additional Requirements (Lecturer - Microelectronics):
- Proficient in teaching Semiconductor Technology at Diploma and higher levels
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing is preferred
Additional Requirements (Lecturer - Communication):
- Competent in teaching Wireless technologies and Mobile communication systems
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field
Additional Requirements (Lecturer - Sustainable Energy):
- Skilled in teaching Energy Efficiency, Solar PV systems, and Electric Vehicle Technology
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in the specified areas
Additional Requirements (Lecturer - AIoT):
- Proficient in teaching Artificial Intelligence of Things and Applied Machine Learning
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in the related fields
- Experience in scripting and programming is a plus
Additional Requirements (Lecturer - DevOps):
- Competent in teaching DevOps, Software Engineering, and Application Development
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in relevant domains
- Proficiency in scripting and programming, knowledge of critical DevOps principles
- Familiarity with database technologies like SQL is beneficial
Successful candidates will receive a 2-year contract initially.
