Manufacturing Operations Manager at The Supreme HR Advisory Pte LtdRoles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  1. Planning and Production Scheduling: Utilizing advanced planning and scheduling software to balance demand and resource availability, utilizing lean production techniques to minimize work-in-progress inventory and reduce lead times.
  2. Quality Management Systems: Implementing statistical process control techniques and root cause analysis methodologies to monitor and enhance production processes and product quality.
  3. Floor Tracking and Control Plans: Introducing systems to monitor work-in-progress inventory movement and visual management tools for real-time monitoring and issue resolution on the production floor.
  4. Assessment of Manufacturing Processes for New Products: Collaborating with design teams to assess manufacturing feasibility and utilizing rapid prototyping techniques to validate manufacturing processes for new product designs.
  5. Organizational Risk Management Frameworks: Crafting risk registers and safety protocols to mitigate workplace hazards, conducting regular safety audits, and assessments.
  6. Evaluation of Supplier Performance: Evaluating supplier performance and implementing vendor-managed inventory programs to streamline procurement processes.
  7. Maintenance Strategies: Developing comprehensive equipment maintenance plans and analyzing maintenance records to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  8. Team Management: Offering direction and guidance to supervisors, nurturing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and championing diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  9. Workplace Safety and Health Systems: Implementing safety training programs and conducting energy audits to minimize waste generation and energy consumption.
  10. Financial Budgets and Plans: Formulating production budgets aligned with strategic priorities, monitoring financial performance indicators, and implementing cost control measures.
  11. Manufacturing Process Improvements: Enhancing operations and production policies, encouraging cross-functional brainstorming sessions, and leveraging advanced manufacturing technologies for automation and optimization.
  12. Assisting in Process Improvement Projects: Driving improvement initiatives as project champions, fostering collaboration, and ensuring timely execution and successful implementation.
  13. Leading Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Cultivating a culture of ongoing improvement, facilitating knowledge sharing and cross-training initiatives, and aligning improvement efforts with organizational goals and priorities.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, with 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of enhancing processes and quality in manufacturing
  • Skilled in production planning and scheduling software
